Company Intranets/Portals

A company intranet works, looks and feels like a website, but only those within your business can access it. Similarly, a portal is a secure area of your website that only certain people - employees or customers - have access to.

Both of these act as a central information store or notice board. For example on an intranet you could include all of the company information – project news and progress, employee benefits and policies, maybe even the plans for the Christmas party!

Internet Systems Development

These systems are databases or pieces of software that are hosted on the Internet.

For example, we created a stock control system for one of our clients, Zero-World.com, that allowed them to add and remove stock straight away. This system had to be used by two different shops, a warehouse and the e-commerce team. So, we created the system as an Internet-based computer system. This means that authorised employees from any area of the business can login to the system at any time – all they need is an Internet connection, a browser and their login details. And they're safe in the knowledge that they're logging into and updating just one database.

We're able todevelop similar Internet-based computer systems to handle anything from appointment booking (anything from dental practice to car-servicing), to property-management and estate-agency.

Mobile Web Development

The web is going mobile. You only have to watch a few hours of prime-time TV to see all the telecoms companies telling you how you can now do business on the move and access the Internet anywhere.

Delivering content for the mobile web brings its own challenges: slower connections, smaller screens and different devices to cater for.
